AtDotCo is a service operated by FC Ecommerce Solutions Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 15916764. Its registered office is 2A Connaught Avenue, London, E4 7AA.

Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- your name, email address and account credentials;
- business contact details, addresses, service areas, qualifications, services and prices supplied for publication;
- domain, DNS, website setup and subscription status;
- order and payment status supplied by our payment provider;
- support requests, contact-form messages and our replies;
- basic technical and security information associated with use of the portal; and
- answers submitted to the anonymous farrier research survey.
GoCardless collects bank and mandate details through its own secure pages. AtDotCo receives the identifiers and status information needed to administer payments, but does not ask you to enter bank details into the AtDotCo portal.
How and why we use information
We use account and business information to provide the service you request: creating an account, taking the setup payment, preparing and publishing a website, managing DNS, maintaining prices, arranging monthly billing and answering support requests. This processing is necessary to enter into and perform our contract with you.
We use limited technical, security and communication records where necessary for our legitimate interests in protecting accounts, preventing abuse, maintaining the service and resolving problems. We retain transaction records where required to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Business details intended for your live website may also appear in the public AtDotCo farrier directory. This supports the website service, helps clients find published farrier businesses and provides a relevant link to the customer's own website. Draft and unpublished businesses are not listed.
The research survey does not request contact details. Responses are reported in aggregate. Please do not include names or other identifying details in its optional free-text box.
Anonymous farrier research survey
The survey records coded answers to the questions, an optional free-text comment and the submission time. It does not request a respondent's name, business name, email address, telephone number or website, and survey responses are not deliberately connected to an AtDotCo account.
We use the answers to understand how working farriers communicate practical information, identify common difficulties and publish combined statistics. This supports our legitimate interests in conducting relevant industry research and improving how practical information is presented. We do not sell survey responses or use them to build individually identifiable marketing profiles.
Standard hosting and security logs may temporarily record technical request information such as an IP address or browser details. Those logs are maintained separately for security and service reliability and are not attached to the stored survey response. Respondents should not enter names, contact details or other identifying information in the optional comments box. Free-text comments will not be published as identifiable quotations without permission.
Who we share information with
We use carefully selected providers where needed to run the service. These include GoCardless for payments and Direct Debit mandates, SendGrid for transactional and support email, website and database hosting providers, Cloudflare for DNS services, and domain providers or availability services where you ask us to check or arrange a domain.
These providers process only the information needed for their role and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations. Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the provider's applicable transfer safeguards and contractual protections.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of the business. We do not sell personal information.
How long information is kept
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Account and service records are generally retained while the service is active and afterwards where needed for support, accounting, legal claims, fraud prevention or statutory obligations. Short-lived verification and password-reset tokens expire automatically.
Retention is reviewed according to the nature of the record, the sensitivity of the information, contractual requirements and applicable legal limitation or accounting periods. Anonymous survey answers cannot ordinarily be linked back to an individual.
Cookies
The portal uses essential cookies to keep a session active, protect forms and remember when a customer is signed in. These cookies are necessary for account and security functions and are not used for advertising.
AtDotCo does not currently use non-essential advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies on the portal. If that changes, this notice and any required cookie choices will be updated before those technologies are used.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information; restrict or object to its use; receive portable information; and complain about how it is handled. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
